Our Fall 2022 Retreat to the Algarve will be our 4th and final trip to this amazing location. We fell in love with Lagos in the Western Algarve and a spectacular boutique hotel just outside of town. Vivenda Miranda is a small luxury hotel / restaurant / spa that sits atop a 200 foot cliff overlooking the Atlantic. While staying at Vivenda Miranda is a vacation in and of itself, we have lots of plans to enhance your experience in the Algarve. Our yoga / meditation classes and our 3 day trips are all included in your retreat package price. Our trip will allow you to experience the Algarve from multiple perspectives from sailing on the ocean to standing on top of region's highest mountain to braving the winds and waves of the wild western coast. The forth time is a charm for this trip for yogis and non-yogis alike.

Part 1: Vivenda Miranda, Yoga & Relaxation
Ocean views are yours to enjoy from breakfast on the terrace, relaxing by the pool during the day or during some delicious and healthy fine dining. Vivenda Miranda is a unique getaway experience that offers stylish comfort in stunningly gorgeous natural surroundings. All this makes Vivenda Miranda an ideal venue for our retreat.
Our hotel boasts an amazing fine dining restaurant. Mirandus Restaurant is a foodie destination for many visitors to the Lagos area. It is known for its daily changing tasting menu featuring local seafood and seasonal produce. The careful and artisan cuisine here offers many traditional Portuguese dishes, but it can also accommodate vegetarian and vegan meal options as well. Tricia will be offering daily yoga & meditation classes featuring the view pictured above. Depending on the day there will be one or two classes as determined by the day's itinerary. These classes are suitable for all levels and are totally optional for friends or family who do not practice yoga. Tricia will work in short meditations before or after the yoga classes for those who are interested.

Part 2: Wine, History & Adventure
Lagos is a vibrant and cosmopolitan town with a very rich history and a charming old town that is best explored on foot. Lagos features a beautiful harbor, an amazing fish market, many fabulous restaurants and an active nightlife. It is also centrally located for the variety of day trip destinations that we have scheduled, including: the hillside vineyards and wineries above Portimão, and the stunning coastline hiking trails of Sagres. In travel (as in real estate) it is always about location - location - location, and for us Lagos is the perfect destination.
As we are located close to a number of amazing beaches and cliffs, we have organized day trips that will offer different perspectives of this enchanting region. Our first day trip will take us down to sea level as we sail on a catamaran to view the explore the hidden caves and beaches along the Golden Coast of Lagos. The next trip takes us to the summit of the highest mountain in the Algarve for lunch after visiting 2 of the areas best wineries for tastings and tours. Our final trip takes us to the natural wilds of Sagres, Portugal's "End of the World", for a hike, a lunch of fresh seafood and an experience an amazing sunset over the Atlantic.

Selecting Your Room at Vivenda Miranda
Each of Vivenda Miranda's suites and rooms are individually decorated, many with delicate hand-painted wall murals making each room a work of art. Each room also has a private terrace offering those amazing views across the Atlantic ocean or the pretty gardens of the hotel. All rooms are equipped with Sat-TV, mini-bar, safe, beach towels, bathrobes and free Wi-Fi access. Your stay also includes the use of the hotel's pool, jacuzzi, sauna and Turkish bath. Our retreat has been guaranteed only (8) rooms, including (1) Standard Double Room, (6) Deluxe Double Rooms, and (1) Deluxe Triple Suite. How To Register & Book Your Room For This Retreat
This retreat is open to everyone. No one is required to participate in any of our scheduled yoga classes or other group events. This open approach makes our retreats great for your non-yogi friends, spouses, and family members, who might want to vacation with you but are concerned about the yoga component. Rooms are allocated on a first pay - first serve basis.
Deposit Policy:
A $350.00 non-refundable deposit is required for every retreat participant. This deposit guarantees your room reservation until the Final Balance Payment Deadline. Invoices in the form of an email are sent at your request and it allows you to pay by credit / debit card via our PayPal account.
Payment Options – Final Payment Deadline: Aug. 1st, 2022
All retreat packages must be paid in full by Aug. 1st, 2022. Retreat participants have the option of paying the entire balance at the time of deposit and get a $50.00 discount. Alternatively, participants can sign up for an installment plan at the time of deposit by using a credit / debit card. This plan automatically pays the balance due with automated installments that are completed on or before Aug. 1st, 2022. Beyond this deadline, the reservation may be cancelled, the deposit(s) forfeited, and the room may be allocated to the wait list and/or put back on sale.
Cancellation Policy:
In the event you must cancel your trip, your entire payment will be refunded less the $350.00 deposit, if your cancellation is made before August 1st, 2022. Should you need to cancel after this date, for whatever reason, we will not be able to provide a refund or credit. However, we permit the transfer of your deposit or reservation to another person, assuming this transfer is acceptable to any roommates affected and that Twisters is given 30 days advanced notice to determine feasibility. No partial refunds or credits will be given for participants who arrive late or depart early on the retreat. For this reason we recommend that all retreat participants purchase travel insurance that allows for trip cancellations.
Travel Insurance: Strongly Recommended
We strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance in the case of any unexpected events or changes to your plans before or during your trip. Please review all policies carefully to ensure you get the coverage you want, including: trip cancellation or delay, personal property loss, medical treatment and emergency medical evacuation. The policies that offer "Cancel for Any Reason" benefits often require that you purchase this insurance within two weeks of your trip's first expense, i.e. the deposit.
